Great Products for Seborrheic Dermatitis
Sometimes I want to get the product that has the highest quality ingredient that will help with my SD. But normally that doesn't work as I just irritate and make it more sensitive to other products. I hear people say that Cetaphil's Cleanser is very gentle and cleans their skin, but for me, it burned and irritated my skin when it was applied to my skin. Not the best feeling or experience with splashing my face with ice cold water and liberally applying cortisone cream to my skin.
Sometimes we focus on cleanser and not on a different way of cleaning. Cleansing with oil isn't new and has been around for a while. Your skin needs a medicated cleanser that is specific for dermatitis, but also calming to your skin when it's inflamed. Using a face cleanser with Pyrithione Zinc helps because it has antifungal and antibacterial properties and helps with keeping fungus from regrowing.
Do you suffer from having scaly red patches that turn into scabs due to scratch? Guilty! It's a bad habit that has to develop when I'm stress. I will pick at my face. So to avoid doing that, I focus on taking care of my nails. If my nails are pretty then I wouldn't want to pick at my face or bite my nails. Using this gel nail polish kit helps me keep my nails maintained. But also using a toner to remove any extra dirt, oil, and even makeup. Rehydrate your skin, preferably natural/organic, but just about any herbal toners or spray will do great for your skin. I personally spray a lot to saturate my skin and allow it to air dry and suck into my skin.
Now if time is of an essence and you don't have all morning to be applying a million and one products then I suggest getting a product that provides these qualities:

Now if time is of an essence and you don't have all morning to be applying a million and one products then I suggest getting a product that provides these qualities:
- Environmental Protection
- Nourishes and hydrates
- Potent antioxidant blend
- Rosacea/hypersensitivity
- Postoperative and post peel as well as laser
- Helps Melasma/hyperpigmentation
- Environmental/sun damage
7-in-1 in product is very typical that provides you all you need in your moisturizer, I suggest this balancing gel that is best used with a cotton round and allowed to be sucked into the skin or if your pocket is low Olay offers amazing products. Protecting the skin is very important for SD. Some of those nasty chemical sunscreens irritate my skin and burn them. Another hell no so I usually opt for Cetaphil's Moisturizer with an SPF if you are looking to save a few bucks. Think about the weather and how your skin is reacting. Right now I am dealing with acne, dry patches, and flakes. I will opt for any balancing moisturizer with SPF. For at night, I like using a heavier moisturizing cream with oatmeal which is great for dry, flaky skin.
Depending on how bad your skin looks and feels, I wouldn't recommend using any type of scrub, peel, or mask. We want to stay away from anything that will irritate or inflame your skin. But a hydrating mask or a gentle granule exfoliating lotion can help with the dryness and turnover on your skin cells. If you are dealing with acne, get a skin treatment with at tea tree oil or willow bark
